The Challenge/Opportunity
Working with the WCTPA, Savvy developed a strategy to launch a compelling story about Washington County through a branded campaign, “The American Spirit Lives Here.” An integrated marketing plan (social media, video, broadcast and print) was executed to meet the challenge to generate awareness for Washington County, Washington County Tourism Promotion Agency and to promote membership for their partner company, the Washington County Chamber of Commerce.
The Solution
Touring the county and capturing real time footage showcasing the events, attractions, adventures and activities provided engaging visuals of the diverse entertainment opportunities that exist within Washington County. Savvy strategically highlighted Washington County’s diverse tourism assets and released in a series of compelling videos and broadcast materials, in time for the launch of National Travel & Tourism Week.
The Result
“The American Spirit Lives Here” campaign unveiled the result of continued partnerships and discussions with local tourism assets, groups like the Washington County Heritage Alliance, the Montour Trail, PONY Baseball and Softball, as well as attractions like Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village, the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, and Washington County’s agricultural fairs. The Savvy Fresh Group filmed and edited the video production project for Washington County Tourism Promotion Agency, in collaboration with the WCTPA marketing staff. Savvy was recognized and awarded two Telly Awards for cinematography and writing.
